The Confrontation Between Europe’s Warmongering Leaders and Trump
Unfortunately, simplifying political issues and falling into the trap of a binary, dualistic worldview sometimes unconsciously places us in camps that easily justify crimes, war, and bloodshed. These days, our anger at the bullying and condescending behavior of Trump and his deputy, Vance, toward Zelensky, on one side, and the full support of European leaders for Zelensky, on the other, has led to a simplistic dualism that once again places us alongside a movement that not only perpetuates a filthy war, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of thousands in Ukraine and Russia, but also deludes us into believing that we are standing on the right side of history, supporting a “hero” (Zelensky) who is supposedly defending his country’s independence against the bullying of Putin and Trump, and that we must submit to his and his European supporters’ call to continue the war.
In my view, for many aware individuals, such positioning is a conscious political decision taken from the start of this war and still firmly maintained. But for the majority of ordinary people, this phenomenon is nothing more than a naive following—following the dominant Western media and, in this particular case, the past leadership policies of the United States during Biden’s administration and European leaders’ narrative of the battle between good and evil, where the West is always right, even when it involves the massacre of tens of thousands of Palestinian children and the destruction of two million homes.
In this so-called battle between good (read: Europe and the U.S.) and evil (whether the former Soviet Union, Putin’s Russia, or today’s China), it seems many have decided forever to stand with “good” against “evil.”
Of course, something new—or not so new—has happened in the “camp of good”: a repeat of what happened during the U.S. invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq under George W. Bush. Back then, although Europeans initially opposed U.S. policies, they quickly abandoned their objections, followed the U.S. to benefit from the spoils of war, and participated fully in the destruction and killings in those lands.
Today, we are witnessing a repeat of that same game! We fail to realize that perhaps the main dispute is over “spoils” and that once Ukraine’s resources are transferred, these divisions will dissolve into convergence again, with Europeans, despite their current bluster, rallying around the main power broker and submitting to all its demands, including increasing their military budgets.
The only difference between then and now seems to be that back then Europeans opposed war, while today they are encouraging it — while the U.S., astonishingly, appears as the supporter and defender of peace!
Not much time has passed since the beginning of this war, and it is no secret which countries orchestrated this war by provoking it and providing hundreds of billions of dollars in lethal weapons and funding — and who has profited from it.
It is clear who in Ukraine accepted the dirty role alongside the fascists of the Azov battalions, sacrificing his own people while using every opportunity—even selling deadly weapons to jihadist and terrorist groups on the black market—to enrich himself and buy multimillion-dollar villas across the world.
It is interesting to know that his wealth has multiplied several times over during his presidency, especially after the start of the war.
Although some media outlets estimate Zelensky’s fortune at over one billion dollars, other sources suggest tens of millions, yet even conservative estimates show that from a pre-presidency wealth of $1.2 million, his assets have grown significantly, estimated at $30 million by Forbes a few years ago—much of it at the cost of young Ukrainian lives.
These are historical facts that may not even require further elaboration.
Contrary to the claims of some friends who portray Ukrainian civil society as supportive of Zelensky and his policies, one must say that Ukrainian civil society had no role in orchestrating this dirty war, and no one has the right to spend from the pocket of Ukrainian civil society for war, bloodshed, and the destruction of their country.
One must not whitewash fascist groups such as the Azov Battalion—declared illegal and fascist even in the U.S. years before the war. Under Obama in 2015, Congress banned any aid to these groups, recognizing them as neo-fascist. Again in 2018, Congress reinforced the illegality of aiding them, and by 2019, a Democratic majority in Congress sought to label them as foreign terrorist organizations.

Isn’t it shameful to support the continuation of the war by backing someone who has refused any form of compromise for three years?
And even worse, isn’t it disgraceful to call oneself a supporter of peace while opposing ceasefire and negotiations, merely because today Trump—whom we despise—supports peace, and Europe’s so-called progressive leaders demand the continuation of war?
It is regrettable that some of our Iranian friends so passionately advocate for the continuation of the war and bloodshed in Ukraine from afar.
What an eerie similarity there is between their statements and those of Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, who wrote to Zelensky on Twitter:
“I salute your honor and the courage of the Ukrainian people. Stay strong, be brave, be fearless. You will never be alone, dear President. We will continue working with you for a just and lasting peace.”
If you want to know the true face of this German fascist, better pay attention to her comments regarding the massacre of Palestinians.
For her, the slaughter of Gazans is just as insignificant as the deaths of Ukrainian youth.
She, with the same passion, supported other criminals who slaughtered people in Gaza, and despite Netanyahu and his defense minister being indicted by the International Criminal Court for genocide and intentional mass killings, she continued and still continues to support them.

Unfortunately, she is not alone in Europe and Germany.
The green fascists, the faded pink social democrats, and the blackened Christian Democrats—all rallied behind the Gaza massacres, defending the bombings of schools and hospitals, and today, with full force, push for continued war in Ukraine.
They shamelessly call this defense of democracy and peace in Europe while advocating for endless war that will only bring more death and destruction to Ukraine.

Look at this so-called feminist and green leader’s speech in the Bundestag on October 10, 2023, one year after the Hamas attack on Israel, when she declared Germany’s support for the bombing of civilian targets in Gaza:
“Legitimate defense means eliminating terrorists, not merely targeting them. Even if Hamas terrorists hide among civilians or in schools, we do not retreat. That is why at the United Nations I emphasized that even civilian sites can lose their protected status. This is Germany’s position: Israel’s security is our own.”

Sadly, the push to continue war with Russia has not remained limited to Germany’s bloodthirsty leaders.
Other European leaders are competing in this deadly race, as Noam Chomsky pointed out in an April 2022 interview:
“Unfortunately, rational anti-war voices have been marginalized, and the field has been handed over to those willing to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian.”
He was referring to Biden and Europe’s warmongering leaders, who have shown little regard for Ukrainian lives, using them as pawns to achieve their goals of weakening Russia.

Unfortunately, the blindness of European leaders, caused by their excessive hostility toward Russia, has not only led to the death and devastation of hundreds of thousands in Ukraine but could, if supported further by the U.S., lead to the expansion of war across Europe and even potentially ignite another world war—an unimaginable catastrophe for humanity.
